Description
I took this photo at the Brecon Beacons National Park Visitors Centre, South Wales. I loved the vibrant colour and the detail surrounding it. I don't have a lense for macro shots, I use a point and shoot digital camera which is fairly basic but feel it came out okay.
My first attempt at a flower or plant.

I love the vibrancy of the flower and the pov is wonderful. The focus hits at mid-line on the thistle so my only suggestion would be to raise that focus area closer to the top of the bloom. However, with this current focus you do get a lovely sharp view of the spiky ball beneath the flower and that is exceptional as well.

It came out quite nicely! A point and shoot camera sometimes can get as close as 18" to 24" - well enough to see the blossom. It is a very nice image. ;o)
