Born in Hilo, Hawaii and class of '66, I became very active in Barbells, Judo and love striking the heavy/speed bag. I've learned to Rollerblade and bike ride which is a very health sport. But time doesn't stop for anyone including for me. So my good friend Dave aka punaguy got me started in taking pictures. I'm having fun taking pictures especially hiking the mountains. I'm enjoying seeing the world thru your post on Renderosity. Mahalo and Aloha....Errol

Thank you for risking life and tooth to bring us such a beautiful shot. A trip to Hawaii to see an active volcano spewing lava is on my Bucket List. I hope I get that scratched off my list before I "kick the bucket".

This is spectacular, Errol! Sorry to hear about your tooth, but at least you saved the camera LOL. It's a lot more likely that your tooth is insured than your camera.
timtripp
thank goodness you protected your wife and the camera... LOL ABSOLUTELY STUNNING IMAGE!!!
MrsLubner
The art of falling...I know it so well. I have learned to jsutu go with it - don't try to be your own hero. :-) I have been known to fall and not ruin the cigarette in my hand. I have fallen and never spilled a drop of my drink. I have also been walking and done nothing at all but ended up breaking my foot - from WALKING! I say, falling and not breaking the camera is as stellar as this shot! LOL
alphalioness
Fantastic shot...I'm sure your wife was able to kiss it all better ;D

Hahaha, oh sorry I laughed at you "with you". And you just told me your legs were tired and sore from the other day's hike. You never learn..... Fantastic shot though. Glad the camera was safe. Aloha
Punaguy
A chipped tooth and a fat lip? A small price to pay for this awesome spectacle...but I feel you pain buddy. I've eaten it a few times on lava, but managed to get one arm down before I hit the ground....still painful! Take it easy and enjoy your images, this ones "KILLER"!! Aloha~
MrsRatbag
Ouch! Risking life and limb is way beyond the call of duty here! But it's a gorgeous shot, and we are thankful that you do this for us...

when I have fallen, I have always broke my fall with my body-head ,arms, legs, etc. not a fun thing and usually happens when it is far from your mind. the view is breath taking and thanks for the chance you took and sharing
