Description

Not the shot I was hopening for but she did get ten feet from me and watched me. this was taken on Friday morning for i need the sunrise to get the sun in her eye. i do have some but they far away like 30 feet away swimming around and going underwater. i got shots of her going under but none comeing up for she too fast. I not sure where she going to pop up. I was so happy to see her too. I past by a lot and did not see her. I can see why now. She went underwater and came up 10 feet from me in the water plants. She was compleley hideing but for this eye of hers. I sat there thinking "Now what if they lie to me and these things can jump in the window lol My head be biten off." Guess we all think like that when there goose bumps on your arms and the hair standing on the back of your neck and this gator looking at you with out blicking at all. Thought of getting my tripod and open it up to move the weeds that was blocking the sun from her eye. But i did not for I know she would bite it and rip it out my hand and if she could my hand too. Signs out that say "Do not feed the gators" lol there goes the idea of feeding them your in laws. just a joke here[we all thought of that too I bet" lol so we got some angels out there that never think like that. this is just a joke that all about feeding in laws to gators. [I do not even talk to my in laws] not that I mad or they mad at me we just do not talk. Never see them. so that good. thanks for looking and laffing at my little joke I used the 500mm with a 2x to make it 1000mm mirror lens on her eye. I took about 15 of them and just 3 was good[ first 10 images was bad and I got to thinking all was bad but then this one came up and I got goose bumps again]. No tripod. I handheld it in my truck and I rolled up the window halve way so I could rest the camera on the glass of the window.

I thinks its an excellent shot. Very brave to stand 10 feet away from her. I wish you the best of luck on getting the photo you seek.

LOL! Excellent capture and story. My friend, the biggest mistake I ever made in my marriage was agreeing to meet her parents. But don't tell her that. And do be careful; a cool capture ain't worth losing an arm over.

That's so cool! I never got that close to a gator, I think I'd be a bit nervous, even if I was inside a truck!

I don't know if she sees dinner or you're gaining her trust, but that eye is so expressive with the light shining in it. Excellent close-up! Interesting to think about your interaction and hear about the goose bumps, too.

Interesting shot of the gator, Jock. Can make several pairs of shoes off the lady. Just joking, LOL! Behind every successful husband in a marriage is a surprised mother-in-law. And that's no joke.
