Description

A truly fascinating piece of histoy here. This one is the oldest of it's kind in the world. It is so special that even the infamous Adolf Hitler resisted having it destroyed as the Allies chased him back to Germany. I believe that it originally housed Butchers shops and their type but the shops on it are now more tourist oriented.

Still very spectacular and well spotted. It seems to be (like) a bridge adapted for building on top of.

Often seen, but not so near! You have got a wonderful POV! All these houses, a wonderful catch! Thanks for sharing!

Elegant picture of Ponte vecchio...- the goldsmiths' shops are just attached to it, like swallow nests; above them there is a corridor, named after Vasari (the row of simple windows), which connect two palaces (and, essentially two galleries), Uffizi and Pitti. A way for decent withdrawal... just in case.
