Description

Kawarau Gorge - Central Otago - South Island (New Zealand) A piece I've been working on for a few days. I tried to get it as realistic as I could with my limited experience. Any comments or suggestions would be very appreciated. Thanks for viewing. =)

There are only two things that could improve this, a better cloud cover and some haze. Beyond that I think it's a wonderful landscape.

I agree with you about the cloud cover. I was a little disappointed with that. I'll see about improving on it along with adding a bit of haze. Thanks for your comment.

Amy!!!!, Its beautiful!!! They say the high mountains make a cup of coffee taste a 1000x better. Now I believe it!!...as I sit here this morning drinking my wakeup coffee. As for sky: go to the skylab and smudge the Cumulus setting and go to Cloud Cover and try different settings. The one that seems to make the difference the most is the Cloud Heighth, set it to 1 or 3 or so. As for Right Front Terrain: on that Terrain, go to E and chose either 1024 or 2048: Warning: it takes longer, but it might be worth it to ya. I am proud of you Amy, really. This is very nice. Now I don't have to go to New Zealand!! Lightpen.

*Thanks for your comment airflamesred, I appreciate it. The clouds certainly do take away from the image and I agree with you about the front terrain, I honestly didn't take much notice of that...oops. =)

I would reduce the shadow strength a little and maybe change your ambient light to a little more blue. Other than that, I think this is a wonderful image.
