Description

Kalø is the ruins of a castle-fortress in northern Denmark, located on a point connected to the mainland only by a narrow walkway. Quite a defensible position. As well, the ruins sit atop a high hill with steep sides.I have a bad knee, and I was a bit apprehensive about getting to the top, but I knew there'd be some marvelous shots there, and I just had to see the inside of the castle. Getting up was a chore, but I made it. Unfortunately, for my arthritic knees, going down is much harder than going up. I ended up sliding down the path to the right on my rump. Lol, glad denim is a tough material. I'm sure I provided many laughs for the other visitors there.
