Description

My daughter's supervisor is using my pictures to request for more funding from the County of Hawaii for the Parks and Recreation lava viewing area. After seeing people entering the deadly zone, I think they need more control in that area. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

Quite the amazing series of images that you are posting here. Looks like quite a dangerous area, people need to exercise more common sense. I hope things go well with that funding.

This is an amazing series. Thank you for photographing it for us. I hope you get the funding but I'll never understand why people can't use common sense and stay out of obvious dangerous areas. We have to use dollars that could be used to protect and save the environment to save stupid people. Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now.

I hope the funding is secured. It would need to provide for stationed personnel I would think because people really don't read signs... (ahem :::😁:::)... Awesome money shot there~

I'm totally mezmorized! The next best thing to seeing an actual volcanic eruption as it happens - lava meets sea...wow! Just stunning, Errol!

faroutsider...It would be best to rope off the deadly zone area like how they did in the Volcano National Park area. Allowing more funds will allow more visitors to view this lava flow at nights from a safer distance. Medical assistance readily available and it creates more jobs. A life lost would surely give this area and Hawaii a bad reputation. Will the additional control keep me out too? I really don't know. Thanks for asking

this is something to see. now I know why those people wear those fire proof suits and air tanks to get up close. now those people got authoty to be there to study it up close. But I know what you mean by people going in with out authoty. people do not think . I see that when people walk up to a eight foot gator lest than 10 feet away and you tell them of the danger and they say "I know" and pay you no mind. Hope your photos will help get the control.

We stop and pause before entering the fire- and smoke-shrouded gates of hell. Stellar colors and diffusive effects in this shot, Shark!
