Description

This was a Vue render of two Daz Medusa ships after I set the ship up in Poser 6 and imported it to Vue (then copied it for the 2nd ship). The Vue render took 40 hours on a Dual Core Extreme 2.93 w/4 gigs RAM and 1 gig video card. Ouch. I added all of the details, including the lightning, flames, smoke, water splashes, Cove, flags, border and additional (enhanced) clouds. Enhancements and artwork took an additional 15 hours...hope you LOVE it!

Love it is an understatement. Render times may be high in Vue but have you have shown the results make it worth every second.

Why post it here, it's Vue render and should be in the Vue gallery. Still like it, it's very cool, but I'm visiting the Poser gallery to see Poser renders not renders made with other applications where poser only played a small role in the whole process.

Thanks for the great comments. One of you asked why I posted in the Poser gallery instead of the Vue gallery (aeilkema). I have a message out to the mods asking if I was in error posting as I did. To me, the majority of the work was done in Poser and Photoshop...Vue was just the render engine and, while it took 40 hours to render, Vue only provided water and a fairly simple sky. If I have posted to the wrong place the mods will let me know and I will abide by their ruling for future posts (I have a couple of images I want to upload where this situation occurs again). I didn't mean to confuse anyone, or mislead...I just thought it belonged where the majority of work (on the most significant aspect, in this case the ships) of the image went. --Dave.

I do indeed LOVE this. Thank you for putting so much time into it. This is a much neglected genre here at renderosity and one I would love to see more of.

That render time is quite long there, but there again I know nothing about vue.Glad your pc survived it. As for this piece, I enjoy how much detail you put in.The small splashes and fires starting, it looks historic.Very good work.
