Description

Taken kind of a while ago. I tried to get the best composition I could and then brightened the colors so it looked just as I saw it in real life (yes, it really was this colorful, no bullshit). It's a bit of a trade-off: this is much better put together than most of my shots, but it lacks the same "spark" as, say, "majestic green" or "observer". Maybe it's just not my style. Thank you all for stopping by.

It looks like the body of a toad and the face of a frog - Great photo!

I have enjoyed your Frog pics but this is probably my fav of the batch. He is a fine looking young Bullfrog and I like the composition with everything angled up and to the left. It gives a nice "flow". I also like the dual transition of brown to green in both the frog and the ground and the way the light on the water goes from brighter on the left to darker on the right. That helps balance the whole image. I also fully understand how intense colors and details can seem when the subject is in frame and focus, lol. He looks like a contented frog happy in his environment of mud, water and warm sun. I seldom get Bullfrog or Leopard Frog shots. Mine are to wary, lol. Too many snakes, birds, and snapping turtles to relax I guess, lol. Well captured, edited, and presented. Thanks for sharing. Lee
