Description

A long while ago I had the fortune to cross paths with a remarkable horse owned by a friend. His registered name was Cyclone's Fury and was a beautiful solid black creature that had all the best traits of his dam's Arabian blood and the strength and stature of his sire's Thoroughbred breeding. He was a show off, a clown and a cad rolled into one. The James Bond of the equine variety who loved the ladies and was insanely jealous of any man...even his own owner. A stallion with the curiosity of a foal and the stamina of a warhorse of old. He earned the name Wolf when I was at the ranch one afternoon and was playing "Hungry Like the Wolf" by Duran Duran...that boy never showed off so much in the whole of his life than when that song was playing. Hence he was dubbed with the nickname. He raced, jumped, performed dressage, and played parts in his owners anual holiday events - from being the mount of the Headless Horseman (complete with chips of flint packed in his shoes), to drawing a sled through trucked in snow so Santa could deliver gifts to terminally ill children. He loved salami sandwiches (yes, I know how weird that sounds) and delighted in nipping at the fizz from a glass of soda. I just got an email the other day from a friend that let me know that my dear Wolf was on the verge of being put down, but he laid down in his stall and passed pleacefully into Summer. He didn't belong to me, but there was no question among our little group of friends that he was 'my horse'. The Rainbow Bridge will never be the same after your hoof falls have past it, Wolf...there will never be another like you. Rest in peace, my sweet stallion~ ~~~~ Rendered in DAZ Studio Text added in MS Paint ~~~~ Millenium Horse Horse Poses Bundle (with some tweaking) LB Mane Pack Mats and Morphs Dreamer Wings Fog Tool Deluxe III MPCyc Wild 2 Lights by Me

A beautiful dedication and a wonderful tale that's got you at least one emotional response here, my sweet. Sounds like he was quite the character, and a great loss to all those who knew and loved him. Love the rainbow bridge effect you achieved in this image. Ride on into the west, Wolf, and may you find peace.

Awww Stacey sorry to hear about this, I love horses also. and my sister owned 2 horses before, and one was an Arabian also. both real pretty horses. and she was real attached to them. she had to sell them because it cost too much to attend to them both. stable fees, gas prices [20 miles away] and also the feed she always had to buy. she still gets to visit and see them sometimes though :) Very cool artwork you did. wish you the best!
