This is the second from a series of wallpapers, studies, renders and event images that I'll be showing in my gallery portraying characters I actually play in the MMO City of Heroes/Villains. "Maya looks like a 19 year old girl with goth and emo tendencies (specially when using her civilian clothes), but in reality she is now 30 years old. The reason for this discrepancy between looks and age is the fact of her playing lab rat for her mother for over a decade. Lydia Poisonous, her mother, concocted a series of poisons, potions and fluids she administered to her daughter during several experiments. The result of these experiments was somewhat disastrous if you consider being dead and brought to life countless times... however it did serve Maya well because her constant near death state made her meet a couple of nether spirits that initiated her in the dark arts of magic and demonology. It is said that she rebelled against her mother with the help of Nadya Pretensious (her aunt) and since then she has been leading a villain group of ill-minded individuals somewhere in the Rogue Isles."
