I wanted to go to the beginning because it's always fun to see what an artist did in their first upload...and all I can say is, you must have had lots of experience before you began this gallery (either that or amazing sensitivity) because the detail & complexity-of-lighting are splendid. The gate is captured with beautiful detail both in the ideograms & the gold designs. And you've caught them with complex plays of light & shade (it's really sensitive) and with the background seeping through the openings, to make this very musical. But then, you 'bordered' it by allowing one border to be the pathway (the bridge-detailing suggests the grounds Oriental too) and the other border, a wall which is bleached to the point of being sheer light. It makes a beautiful contrast. This is beautiful to my eyes, I mean there's no other way to say it; a very luminous piece, beautifully composed & captured. (Even the way you captured light pouting through the red idiograms is beautiful. If you've never painted, you have an eye for it!)
