Description

Meet Pascal, pilot of the "Hard Bargain" (which I'll be posting soon), a light transport that carries "sensitive" cargo that needs special care and protection. He is a member of the Pyathenar Scholari, a clan of humanity that excels at mathematics and logic. Many people think that it's fast reflexes and a steady hand that makes the best pilots. Pascal would beg to differ. He thinks what makes a good pilot is being able to do over 50 simultaneous complex mathematical computations in your head accurately at once. He has the record to back that up. So when Pascal whips the Hard Bargain between two freighters with only inches to spare, it's not luck or even reflexes. He knew the two inches would be there. I was looking for a good bridge for a light transport type ship like the Millenium Falcon or Serenity, but there really wasn't one. So I took the Stinger from Daz3d, made everything invisible but the cockpit, and then kitbashed Stonemason's Generic Sci-Fi Corridor and Conflek-gnorg's command center into a new shell. How'd that work out? The cool thing is that Stonemason's props all have selectable walls you can make invisible, so I was able to construct a full 360 degree cockpit. I'm considering doing a graphic novel with my stuff. I'm a MUCH better writer than I am CG artist, though. I'm trying to raise my skill level up to the task of doing both. Does this pass muster?

I really like the lighting on this one, however I wonder if it would benefit more from the outside being darker it almost looks more like an underwater scene than outer space. Still nice work either way.
