Description

Kids who were going to go to college heard about overhead camshafts. They also knew about geared hubs but DeRaileurs were something only a few were privy to. Can I mention some brands? Mercedes, Jaguar, Alfa-Romeo those were OHC. For me it was Rudge and the knockoff wire wheel that would slowly allow a dawning of the DeRaileur. Rudge knockoffs were outlawed by the NHTSA for pedestrian safety years ago so no need to rush into showrooms looking for them. Look carefully on this one. It's not exactly the same pose as before. Just a trickle though. No rush.

No wonder she's smiling, looks like she's sporting this years model. No deraileurs, but it looks like a 3 speed hub, lights with it's very own dynamo and a carrying bag for a bathing suit and towel. I'm thinking this lady is set for the summer!!

Great image. I loved my old three-speeds; heavy clunky, and with mud-guard fenders. You could sit up straight and ease along. Sigh. And for your lady above, I'd pedal like crazy and try to keep up.

Technology rears its ugly (sometimes) head. When is a three speed better than a ten speed or a mountain bike? When it's all you can afford.

to bad she does not have her cat with her or accusations would be flying.more so than the Western Auto Flyer.my first experience with gears was in drafting class. my teacher was Mr Lack, but he did not have a bicycle. I made straight A's in his class and finished the necessary drawings maybe 5 weeks before the end of the school year(no one else did).he was my teacher for 3 years
