another fungus that I found the other day July 25 2008, it's name is calocera viscosa or the common name Yellow staghorn Fungus, the fruitbodies are 3-8 cm tall about 4 inches. yellow to orange-yellow coral like but tough and gelatinous, with open branching,and short, pointed laterls,widespread and not uncommon, yellow staghorn fungus fruits on dead conier logsand stumps or sometimes on well rotted wood after rising from the ground. The speciesthis species isfrombcoral fungus by it's tough gelatinous texture
