The background is a model of the famous Todaiji Temple in western Japan. I've been there.

Thank you ! The hero is an orphaned baby boy from the far North who was rescued from the river and raised in a temple of warrior-monks. He carries a demon-banishing weapon. He has a bad-temper, and he smokes, drinks and gambles. As far as we know, he does not womanise. He is the annointed 31st Custodian of the Sutras which open Heaven and Hell, two of the five sutras which control the Universe's functioning.
