Description

Do you remember the Garitta, the military construction erected in the sixteenth century to defend the town from Turkish incursions ships? A first photo I inserted some time ago. It had been taken against the light morning ... like atmosphere was more evocative ... but in this one, taken in the afternoon sunlight, you can see better its structure and the path that leads to it with the remains of ancient walls!

Beautiful scene with a most remarkable history behind it.... The water is just beautiful, and the rock formation is exquisite to behold and admire! Could sit out here forever, with a book and a good drink.. listening to the water as it gently crossed paths with the rock.... wonderful mood and atmosphere!

Questa immagine l'ho scelta perchè bellissima. E' similare ad un'altra di Gela (zona Manfria), ormai ridotta ad un rudere, dove trascorrevo le mie estati da bambina e adolescente . GRAZIE! gea
