Description

The Peregrine Falcon feeds almost exclusively on medium sized birds such as doves, waterfowl, songbirds and pigeons. Other than bats taken at night,it rarely hunts small mammals, but will on occasion take rats, voles, hares, mice and squirrels; the coastal populations of the large subspecies pealei feed almost exclusively on seabirds. Looking at this in full size some might not like it as they get a clearer view. I just want to say what magnificint claws this Falcon has especialy when contrasted with the color of his legs.

Excellent clarity and detail David, well worth the extra click to zoom in. Those talons look like they have been polished, it is also a very clean bird, my compliments to its keeper. Superb close-up. Bravo!!!!!
