Description

first time I saw the tongue of a bee.I got 2 captures with the tongue out.usually the small honey bee has their head buried in the flower nectar but this lady is so large that it was possible to see.I got far better captures than this but I wanted to show the tongue wagging I took nearly 200 sunsets last night.it lit up halfway across the sky.one of the best this year thanks for viewing and any comments

I can se your reflection in the eye facets there as well Richard, this is a first for me also, my moth with the forked tongue and now this Bee with a huge tongue. Was it being cheeky do you think? Wow! Excellent magnification. Too bad the DOF isn't a bit higher but I'm just learning how to use my new macro lenses and I know it's tough. Great shot anyway!
