Description

Lisbon - Monument to the Discoveries is a monument that celebrates the Portuguese who took part in the Age of Discovery of the 15th and 16th centuries. It is located on the estuary of the Tagus river in the Belém parish of Lisbon, Portugal, where ships departed to their often unknown destinations.

There is a lot of detail in these carvings and you pulled them out nicely with your pov, creating lots of shadows for emphasis.

Encore un cadrage superbe dans cette magnifique photo, pour faire ressortir les lignes de fuite de ce monument qui marque l'attrait vers de nouveaux horizons pour les Européens, avec la découverte de l'Amérique qui rappelons-le, fut découverte par les Vikings bien avant les Portugais ;-).
