Description

That's how long the Swann-Joy Covered Bridge in Blount County, AL is......and we drove every foot of it....TWICE. It is still in everyday use between Cleveland, AL and the Joy community. It's one of 3 covered bridges in Blount County and 11 in Alabama. Taken 7/30/2008.

US231 south to Cleveland AL. Take AL79 south, turn right onto Swann Bridge Road (less than 1/2 mile from US231). Bridge is about 1 mile, with small pull offs on each side.
