Description

All Bryce. I posted a Sunset render of this image yesterday. I don't know if I prefer this one by day or night. Any input would be much appreciated. Big Robot

Same location but two very different images. I think I like the mood in this image most. Format is well chosen ( camera angle ) in both images ! I like the abandon look of this, maybe the old route 66 . Very nice details too ( lost mud of tires ).

Hey bigrobot! Nice image, I really likt the atmosphere around here. Just some tips: Try rendering at a large resolution with anti aliaising on and preview of, then scale the image size down, this results in much more accurate images without renderclitches. Another tip: for a great tutorial about creating very realistic clouds in bryce, check www.bryceanworlds.com , this guy has some great tutorials on how to make very nice clouds, global illumination and terrains! Keep up the good work, I really enjoy watching your artwork!

I agree the composition in both posts is awesome. Each has its own qualities. Keep up the good work.

That's near photorealism, respect!

Nice work! The lighting on this is so much nicer than the last. That is, both lightings are great, but this light better suits the scene. For me, this day version tells a different, more interesting story.

I haven't seen your sunset render yet, but I agree this is damned near photorealism! I would echo what shademaster said about the clouds - they look fine, but subliminally they somehow let the image down a little. Respectable detail: It's all there! Nothing I can put my finger on that hasn't been included... And there's perfect artistic composition, foreground, middleground, background. Impressive!! more please... =)

I like this one a lot, the atmosphere is most convincing. I also appreciate your eye for detail; the tracks on the road are well thought of.

Awesome pic. I like this version as it has bought out the level of detail and effort that you have put into this image.

Thanks for the input people! I can't seem to get a handle on the darn sky though. Every time I put in clouds it somehow looks like 'too much' to me. The image loses it's "middle-of-nowhere-ness' . But I agree that this sky isn't quite 'getting it' either! What's a guy to do??

I think the sky, and everything else, is awesome. Fine render. Amazing work!
