Well this chap was in the garden this afternoon and i managed to pull off a few shots of him.
ive no idea what he is but he could be a nomad bee or a field digger wasp according to my book.
if you know what he is let me know.

Leeco could probably tell right off but my guess is its a Yellow Jacket. The coloration differences are subtle on a couple of these black and yellows so I did the best I could to match up this pattern with those shown on Whatsthatbug.com This is a great sight for bud IDs. Wonderful macro, btw.
