This week-end, Natagora takes a census of the butterflies in the gardens :
WE 2-3 Août 2008: Devine, qui papillonne au jardin ? Comptez les papillons de votre jardin !
This butterfly is a Green-veined White(Pieris napi), a common species throughout Belgium.
The larva lives on Cardamine, Nasturtium, Lepidium, Lunaria, Hesperia, Arabis etc.
The adults fly in three generation a year: from mid April till the beginning of June, and the second and third generations overlapping from early July till mid September.
