Description

I originally read the Dragonlance books 24 years ago when they were first published in 1984 (suddenly I feel old, lol). The books have been sitting on my bookshelf gathering dust ever since, that is until I decided to re-read them and I am now right in the middle of Dragons of Winter Night. Luckily I cant remember a thing from the first reading so its like discovering the story all over again, and the books are still as good to read today as they ever were. This image is of Caramon (the classic big dumb warrior with a heart of gold) and Tika (the simple barmaid turned fiesty warrior woman). Just something fun inspired by the books. I might do some more renders of other characters too. Thanks for looking! Proud member of: dagbutton.png

That's the fiercest I've seen Caramon portrayed. Good work.

Coincidentally, I read the very same books about 20 years ago and reread them not very long ago...I agree with you, they are as good now as they were then... I don't think they are the best written or even the best story...it's the characters that make these novels so good...it's impossible not to love them and really feel for them both when things go well and not so well ;) If you like fantasy and appreciate good characters then I'd seriously recommend the Troy trilogy by David Gemmell (and his wife Stella who completed the last book after David sadly died...and did a tremendous job !). This Troy trilogy is the finest work of fantasy I've ever read... Nice image btw ;)

Put me down as another "old" fan of the Chronicles! Your Caramon looks exactly as I had him pictured in my head...right down to the cleft chin!. Great job.

Oh, wow, flashbacks! Don't worry, you're not the only one feeling ol...nostalgic...for those classic chronicles! Fantastic image!!!
