since yesterday the stockton riverside festival has been celebrating its 21st year .performers come from all over the world ,dancers, singers and wide variety of different acts .this shot was of a parade that went through the high street and on for about a mile .we got there a bit late as the traffic was really bad so this was just the tail end thanks for looking and take care mick

Hope you are feeling a bit better today mate? Excellent capture, I missed our local carnival/gala last Saturday and Sunday, I got carried away in the garden. We have had a cat keep visiting us and it likes to get on the net covering the pond. A couple of weeks back we got up one morning and the net was broken and hanging down in the water, we thought the Heron might have done it but no fish were missing. I manded it at that time but a coupls of days later the cat was asleep right in the middle of the net. We chased it off but it had trashed the net again. So last week I bought new and replaced it. After that I was too tired to go to the park were the gala was. Looks like you missed a few good photo ops Mick, if this is the back end of the parade, a very colourful one if this is anything to go by. These three girls in the front of this section look like they are having fun at least. I hope it stayed dry for them. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

These carnivals make great fun shots and this is no exception Mick. Bravo! Not had chance to get out there and take any myself, I miss it every year! I read Jeffs comment and I didn't even know that ours was last week lol.

Love the costumes! Wonderful capture Mick, smiling faces and a true camaraderie felt in this, nice creativity! Our parades no longer have that feel for me, they are just the same year after year and the participants are not nearly as happy as these appear to be!
