Description
One of the animation models from a self-promotional video for the company I work for. I wanted to produce a few still renders before the files are committed to archive limbo. All rendered in Carrara with minor post in Photoshop. Earth textures from various sites on the web.

just had to comment. as a "real" rocket scientist, i note it has no propulsion! great render - you know customers always want to see their comm payload, and the world ...at the same time! now to do that, you have to create an unlikely attitude with the bird facing the viewer, away from the earth. then the payload could not work! so we use artistic license, and eventualy they forget about it - either "correct" or "beautiful" but not both, i tell'em! :)
