Description

A short story (in English, that's a first for me). The lieutenant wasn't exactly following the many procedures of the department. He was even ignoring some embarrassing evidences. All of that because, for the first time in his twenty years of service, he was convinced a witness was telling him the truth. Sure, the poor kid had a very mysterious past and some despicable friends, but, deep inside, he knew she couldn't possibly lie to him. It was something in her eyes. She obviously had intense feelings for him. Ten months later, she was perfecting her tan on a beach of the Fiji islands, while he was tied on a chair. When the guard put the switch on, he was still believing her... The end.
