I am now recognizing this as classic didi_mc lighting. How you manage to spotlight the figure and leave the backgrounds darkened but yet still lit enough that we can see them speakes to mastery of lighting. Dusk scenes are so difficult to light well but you nail it time after time. I'd love to see your light set.
