Hi there,
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and dropping an eye.
I'll hopefully have something to showcase here pretty soon so please pop back again later.
BIOI was born on the 8th of March 1970 in Bulawayo Zimbabwe (Africa).
In August of '83 my family and I moved to Patras Greece where we currently live.
My first taste of computer graphics came at the age of 15 with my first computer, an Amstrad664. Following that came An Amiga500, an A3000 on to the PC.
(Can you imagine what it's like to do 3d on a 20MHz machine with 6Mb?).
In late 1991 I began my career in television as a computer artist, which I continue to this day.
Over the years though computer graphics where not my only interest in the field of television,
I taught myself master control, camera work and a little directing. This I achieved by tagging along with the crews,
closely watching other professionals at work and a lot of reading in my spare time.

The ring seems a bit too big to me. Other then that it looks good.

Even though in the movie the letters of the black tongue lined the outside of the ring, if you go back and read the book again you'll see that Tolkien described the runes as appearing only on the inside of the ring. That material with the Elvish runes looks like gift wrap paper.
magicpixel
Yup, the material does have a plasticy look to it, have to work on that :) just for the record Tolkien describes the ring as having lettering on BOTH inner and outer sides. -The shadow of the past- TFOTR p. 59 quote "... strokes, running along the ring, outside and inside: lines..." unquote. The gold lettering on the material is dwarvish not elvish.(although the dwarves never had the ring in there possetion, I just thought it would look good).

Funky mask / specular highlighting. I like it despite the few bugs. Far better than what I could muster.

Hey never mind the width feel the quality, fantastic piece of work.

Thanks all, I'll keep all that in mind and post the finished version when it's done. Cheers all ;)
