Description

I stumbled upon this shape while constructing my fossil image. I liked it enough to come back, as it reminds me of a nautilus shell. The texture is a popgnarl variation with an interesting 3D effect which took some time and a lot of tries to get to the present stage. Still, the image provides further evidence that I still have a lot of trouble creating adequate backgrounds. This one uses fBm coloring. Your comments and suggestions are very welcome.

Ruy, I love the iridescent coloring on your 'shell'. And the 3D effect is great. For your backgrounds, why not post your upr to the list to see what others come up with? You can point out in your mail that you want help with the background. Thanks for sharing :)

As you can see, I am a far behind in reading list mail since I just found this gem of a fractal mentioned. The jewel-like colors are superb!
