I'm retired, but so busy I haven't posted anything in a while. When do work, I mostly use Carrara 8.5 Pro and Daz Studio for composition and rendering, and Fireworks and Photoshop for postwork and textures. I'm more a storyteller than an artist: I like scenes that tell a story -- or strongly suggest one.
I live in Sacramento, California USA with my wife. Kids are grown and gone, so we volunteer at our church, and travel as much as time and wallet will allow!
I REALLY appreciate the many great artists here who have been SO wonderful with their encouragement and pointers. PLEASE comment or just say "Hi". I appreciate your words good or bad: It energizes me, grows me - and keeps me going.

Wonderful scene Larry, I like the way you have the ghosts displayed and the main character has a perfect expression on her face for this moment.

Beautifully detailed Poser. Unlike many Posers I've seen, the figures in this one actually have and convey emotions with their faces!

As others say, the paleness of the dream parents contrasts well with Aranee. BUT the Book, Girl. Open the Book!

The story gets more intriguing, pulling the reader in. And the picture is very well done - the tears are a nicely done. I'm going to have to Fav you so that I can follow the story!

Ah, yes, The Book is part of the answer, but the poor girl can't read the vast majority of it. It is written in Elvish, and even though she is an Elf she can't read it - yet. Of course, all of this will make sense... later... (wink!)

That's a well done bit of work to get the parents floating like that. Excellent to see someone using Poser/Daz as a storytelling medium on Renderosity. It inspires me.

What a cool scene! Glad you pointed me in the right directon. I like how the colors contrast, and how you've done her expression with the tears running. I love to see what other people do in DAZstudio, since most seem to favor Poser. (Still trying to figure Poser out. groan)

Another intriguing chapter in the story. It hints at so much and reveals so little. You really are a master at that! Love all the details you have inserted here, like her father writing in the very book that she now holds, her pose with the dagger lying on top of the book. They really add to the believability of the character and image. And those ghostly images in her dream are just downright creepy! Nicely done!

Very nice work!
