This scene isn't from a particular movie, but it made me think about how I'll turn tv on, late at night and come across an old movie from the 30s, or 40s and without knowing the plot line, I'll end up watching the whole thing. I'll be entertained more than any of the newer movies, which all seem to rely on big name actors, special affects, explosions and of course, the gratuitous sex scene, more than they do storyline and dialogue.

They used to make movies without gratuitous sex? Shocking! All joking aside, I think you nailed the mood you were going for, with the muted lights and POV. And I really like the long version of the title. Great job!

What a wonderful, thoughtful piece! You've really nailed the mysterious atmosphere of some of those old film noir movies from the 30's and 40's. And yes, I'm drawn into them once in awhile too - many of them have wonderful writing.

Also reminds me of an old hallway in elementary school; I was in third grade and it was winter and we were running and sliding in the hallway to see how far we could slide. Very splintery floor. I know because I fell on my bum and picked up quite a few! Ouch! Some were pretty good sized too. Not a good memory.

Nice polish on the wood floor! Great job framing the light about him through the door. You have really captured the mood that you where looking for. Hats are awsome, I have three of them and have been looking for a new Fedora. The old movies are great but they did use the latest technology of their time to make movies. Sex scenes where usulay implied I remember being confused by all the 'ocean surf' scenes that would sometimes pop into a movie and I would be going .. whats that all about!
