Description

took this this saturday. Some one wish for the more imformation on the dcamera settings I wish I can give it for it is set on manual because the lens is old but will work on the camera as you see. But the settings and all will not show up I know I useing a 2x which will make the lens 2 times the size in MM. the len is 70mm x 275mm I think. Anyway I have it all the way out in MM so it be around 550MM lens I think. Plus I got on the new flash I bought and just learning. For some reason that is not showing up on my setting for the image. I got to see why. got a lot of diff modes and settings on it so I juswt learning. This is a young lady around 18 to 20 I guess. She plays the harmonica as is here. I will show her playing the violin too and the triangle which she just learn here this late saterday. If you can keep time or a beat you can play the triangle. I can not do that. I not sure why her face and hand came out red. it a wonder to me. Her face hair shows because of the flash of light ad at the angle the camera hits the hairs. it do not show like that when you look at her in real life. make me wonder how the pin up and glamor photographers do it to make this lady look for glamor or pin up. I know they do a lot at times thanks for looking and comments and thanks for all the votes on my last image. oh that is not a cut on her finger. it her hair going across the finger

She looks so intent on what she is doing, and you've really captured that well.

I find the fuzzy face endearing. :-) Great pov, Jock. The buff of her rosy cheeks is wonderful.

Interesting. You came all the way to Santa Monica to snap Veronica playing the harmonica, Jock! Talk about up close and personal! Big lenses make for big photos.

Love the way she delicately holds her instrument. Super study. The hair is a drag, what can you do?

try raising the flash up so it will bounce the light off the ceiling or a wall and be less harsh.that is a real advantage over the camera flash

I'm glad I don't have to make those kind of decisions.

Not a very flattering capture Jocko, but a very interesting one, I don't like what the camera tells me I look like, I look in a mirror, and I see me, I look at a photograph of me and its a stranger looking back. I like this for its honesty, the fuzzy down on the cheek and lip, the blush on the cheek, a very intimate capture. As for the models, make-up for one and the airbrush facility in photoshop for another. In this digital age the professional photographer as superb software to touch up the images that would not normally make it. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
