Heroic! What a marvellous catch you (both) made here! The photo shows how much the spider would like to hang on to its prize. That's a super coloured body, I've not seen that one.

May be an Eresus species, but I am not sure. If so, it can only be Eresus cinnabarius (sorry, I don't know the English name), because this is the only representative of the family Eresidae. Probably male. Thanks for viewing! Kind greetings, Lorand
