Hi! And thanks for taking the time to look at some of my work.
For anyone who is interested I'm a designer living and working in Sheffield, UK. For my day job I am Head of Design for a small games company and my job involves art direction, concept work for games screens and motion graphics using After Effects & Studio Max.
In my spare time I like to create characters and creatures from Sci-Fi and Fantasy genres using ZBrush, Max & Photoshop. I'm hoping to create a good portfolio of this kind of work in the next couple of years and set up a website to try and generate more work in this field. :)
Thanks again for your time.
Chris.

Cool looking!!

I love this - its quite full of character although he looks quite menacing (and probably is! :D) ... I quite like his mouth and his nose and the piercing eyes. Wonderfully done! Do you do anything 'more' with the things you make or do you see that as a good 'hobby' i.e. new face each time? Or do you try to "sell" it as a morph? curious ~Tina

Hi Tina, Thanks for your nice comments. I try to think of my personal work like this as more than a hobby (though it kind of is at the moment) and would eventually like to create work for the entertainment industry (graphic novels, concept art for films etc). Possibly set up my own studio or freelance. The good thing with quick concepts like this is that I have time to do them and find it a good way to relax and hopefully improve as an artist. ZBrush is a great tool, I'd recommend it to anyone, especially artists who don't want to get too tied down with the technical side of programs like max or maya. I'm also trying to build quite a comprehensive portfolio of this kind of work for an online portfolio to hopefully attract paid work in this field. I always mean to develop my designs further and need to do more full body sculpts but always get side tracked by another idea. I guess one way I could make money from these sculpts would be to sell them as assets on Renderosity, not sure how popular or usful they would be though :) Bloody hell! How much have I typed, sorry if you got bored by the time you got down here... Thanks again. Chris.

Like the profiles and how you have shown us both his bad sides :0) But then this guy could be a total marshmallow.Hey, great work. If you did this in three hours and have accomplished the depth of characteristics and consistant lighting, as shown above, then you need a humongerous pat on the back and a truck load of gold stars!
