Description
My mum passed away in February, of breast cancer. I was her caregiver. For quite a while after her death, I had trouble going into her room, so I made it into a makeshift studio. I was grabbing my tripod out of the closet, when I noticed her walking stick. It seemed to sum it all up. Thanks for looking, and comments.

Beautiful image that says a great deal with almost nothing. I'm very impressed.

I keep finding memories like this around the house. I lost my dad, father-in-law and mother-in-law, and mother. Each left behind a special cane they used for a long time. Each time, I brought the cane home home, stuck it in some obscure corner and tried to push it all from memory. From time to time, while cleaning a closet or behind a bookshelf, I find that piece of tender memory. The feeling of peace and emptiness washes over me for an instant. This is a beautiful capture.

I was fortunate that I live in another state than my deceased mother. after she went to a nursing home , my sisters disposed of her belongings.it would of been hard for me also

It's always painful to see objects that belonged to the most expensive that we have left! But they make them feel closer to us! Beautiful photos!
