Description

These dunes are part of the Algodones Dunes, California, which stretch from the Salton Sea in a southeasterly direction toward the Mexican border. Some areas are set aside for recreational use and these tracks are proof that off-road vehicles such as ATVs and motorcycles were here. This location is between I-8 and the border with Mexico. The amazing thing about whoop de doos in sand is their period and amplitude depends only on the sand and not the vehicles passing over it at high speed. Or you could putter.
