Description

Around the turn of the century, with the problems of performance-enhancing drugs, blood-doping, genetic re-engineering and constant political interference threatening to stifle the Olympic Games, it was decided to remove the human element altogether. This was my second entry in the Stonemason Contest at DAZ. To get the vanishing repetition there are two mirrors, one at the third pillar and another offscreen on the left. Used Stonemason's DarkStar, DAz's Droid and Chris Parrish's Aikobot

Cool realization and excellent idea. Great render here, with much movement and super SciFi element.

Very nice image, I planned a similar one. Robotics already have their own games (Robocup Soccer for example), but it´s very likely that human "enhancement" will redefine the bodies and minds of athletes by help of technical and pharmaceutical meanings. What bother´s me too is that politics should stay out of sports, but commerce (which is basically politic too) should not. I for my part will stay away from Olympics as well from the Tour de France and other commercial show events. Sports and competition have lost their meaning long ago.

I'm never sure, Dave, whether your work is more amazing for what you create or for how you go about creating it. Great job!

That's funny and sad a the same time... get rid of the people in the race. I don't remember seeing this one in the contest, but I missed some entries. Great job and look at the Olympic rings. Very cool.
