Description

500 This is a big number. 500, half a thousand, 10 50's, more than a few. So today~~ this will be my 500th post. Just a little over a year since I came here to RR. (Course it helps when you pay that extra $5 a month to be able to upload more than one foto or poem or image in a day.) Be that as it may, I wanted to have something over the top, mind blowing, stunning, unforgettable. That's not easy, given the work I see here. I went out yesterday and wandered around my yard, camera in hand. And I got some pretty good shots, some of my best, actually, or at least I thought so. Then I had to choose, not easy either. It's all in the eye of the beholder; one person's beauty isn't always the next one's. And that's exactly what RR's all about. So, here you have it, the one I chose. It's a godetia, as close as you can get, sweet and gauzy, with that amazing, almost sensual look flowers gives us. It is what it is, and I hope you enjoy it. I treasure all my friends here, all the people who take the time to look at what I do, who give me such amazing support and words of encouragement. It's you who make RR what it is. Like looking up into a sky of lovely billowing pink clouds, Marilyn! Of course, I don't know where the square pistil would fit into that scenario. Perhaps the launch of a square space craft? And congratulations on reaching the heady pinnacle of 500 postings, a well deserved accomplishment.
