Description
This is one of four pairs of statues standing on pylons at each end of a bridge completed in 1932 connecting the east side to the west side of Cleveland, Ohio over the Cuyahoga River.
After renovation in 1980 it was renamed Hope Memorial Bridge in honor of William Henry Hope, a local stonemason and father of Bob Hope.
Each of the 40 foot statues is holding a vehicle from covered wagon to motorized trucks showcasing the progress in transportation and industrial development of the United States.

I remember driving over this bridge while there and thinking (too late) I ought to get a picture of that! LOL I don't know how many times I've been over it and never paid any attention to the bridge itself...always too busy trying to see out at the landscape below. Excellent capture.

I love the statue, and of course your photography is most excellent. Did you happen to catch the others?
