Description

"Chocolate City" is a slang term referring to a city populated primarily by African-Americans, such a Washington, D.C. Both the curves and the more linear structures were implemented with cornu spirals.

Thanks! Sid, I generally render my web images to fit into an 800 (horizontal) by 600 (vertical) window. I could have made it bigger by rotating it 90 degrees, but I like it better this way. I created it in Ultra Fractal, using a prototype formula.

All those spirals and straight lines combined to create a city. Beautiful! Makes me wonder about the prototype formula that you used. Would that be made available to the public at some point?

Thanks for the nice comments. My only concern about publishing the formula is that it's fairly specific, not a general-purpose coloring like Orbit Traps or Thingamajigs. Are people interested in specific formulas?

Fascinating! I love the feel of this, it feels structured and random at the same time! I think that sometimes having a specific formula is perfect. Much as I love the general purpose ones, sometimes I like to be challenged with limitations :)
