Description
This is an closeup of an alfalfa blossom. These flowers are part of a plant used for agricultural feed and are about the size of a dime when in full bloom. The alfalfa plant, when ready to harvest is about waist high. It is cut, sun dried in the field, then when dry, windrowed, and either bailed or stacked. Cows love it!
