Mandi, I've just come to your gallery and I am impressed! I picked this at random and I sat with it several minutes before writing. You have so many hidden worlds here. The designs on this rock-like set of steps are remarkably complex, just enough like symbols we know to draw us in and make us think we 'recognize' them. But the fact is, they're symbols of the soul or psyche; and they don't need further elucidation. Also, one looks for regularity in them—typical of ornament—but one doesn't find it: One finds, instead, a continuum of line, alive and sinewy as it snakes its way back into the structure. The background is bathed in darkness with mysterious eyes and that 'energy' sphere; plus occasional points-of-light, all leaving us with the mystery of contemplation. A journey & a compelling step into mysteries. You do fine work.
