Description

My son has settled down a lot this last year. He still drinks at parties and is still under age (for another 6 months) but has become more responsible in regards to this. Our borrowed toddler is settled and thriving - life feels good and then along comes another curveball I got a call from the school - my daughter wagged - left after second lesson. I get angry but then as time ticks by and no sign of her I get worried. She doesn't answer her phone. 3 hours after she was supposed to be home and 30 minutes after the last reported sighting of her I call the police. - People are out looking for her and her friend. Then I start getting messages from her phone that were clearly not from her - not the way she speaks. The messages ask if the police are involved - I side step the question and tell "her" that my sister will come get her not to worry. She keeps asking about the police. I say they will be if she doen't come home with her aunt. Suddenly the messages start coming from Mikayla and I finally convince her to tell me where they are. She does and my sister goes to her at the same time her friends father and the police arrive. I told them all where to find them. Yes I lied to the girls but Mikayla understands why and she is now home safe. Hug your kids and pray to what ever or whom ever you believe in that you never go through this or worse. Chris

My heart aches for you! It has never been easy being a parent but the world is so wide open these days with all the excitement, adventures, temptations, etc., right there at the finger tips. Its hard for young people to have time (or even understand why they need) to get their heads on straight before they going rushing in where angels fear to tread.

Am so glad she is safe. I sometimes think its a miracle that they make it to adulthood and that mothers and fathers survive the ordeal. You are in my prays that this should be your last major worry. Your artwork is always beautiful.
