Back to Pompano Beach - on my last night there, a thunderstorm was brewing to the west. The cloud was full of lightning but not much thunder. It seemed like a single cloud and with all the internal lightning I was reminded of Close Encounters. um, perhaps it wasn't a thunderstorm?

I love when that happens; where you see a lot of lightening but no thunder; I've always called that a storm in the sky. You captured it well .. excellent job! I have been dreaming of capturing lighting just ONCE ... but have I yet? NOPE! :( lol I'll keep trying.

I used to go to Pompano Beach often when my grandfather lived there. A wonderful place but I do recall it did get some equally wonderful storms off the water. This is a stellar shot with great drama in it.
