Description

------------- Famous Rogues - Jett

Nobody really knew where she came from. Nobody knew her real name. And absolutely nobody knew what she looked like.

Well, the last might be a bit confusing. Everybody knew what Jett looked like, or at least everybody who was anybody around Gryphonmyr. What none of them knew, was what she REALLY looked like. Stories and legends grew up around her name. There were as many good as bad. What was known for sure?

Jett was an assassin, one of the best. It was told she even stole a bounty from Dauthus Secord, the Phantom. Few people really believed that, but no one would ever say to Jett's face. She showed up in the underworld of Carellon around the time of the founding of the Silver Gryphon. She seized on the opportunities of the Night of Demons and the death of Baron Atreides to cement her power base and remove a few nuisance syndicate bosses.

Now, this is where the story gets a bit weird. Forty years later, she hasn't aged a day. There have been a lot of attempts on her life. Many were supposedly successful. But she's still there, running the Setting Sail Syndicate out of Gryphonmyr, and slitting any throat that stands in her way. When Amanda Augustine took over as Lady of Gryphonmyr, she made a pact with Jett, as any decent noble would. Jett would control the syndicate, keep it form causing any direct harm to the people, allow it to profit from common vices, gambling, prostitution, the occasional illegal drug shipment, but any general lawlessness would bring the Lady of Gryphonmyr and her elite band of friends, the Silver Gryphon, down on her like an anvil. After Amanda became Baroness and then moved on to become Duchess of Dragaard, her successors maintained the bargain. Gryphonmyr is as safe as any crossroads, border town can be. Jett keeps it that way. Its just good for business.

She still takes assignments, but never around the barony, and never anyone who'd be missed. But things aren't like they used to be. The Vampire clans have started pushing the syndicates out. Taking their places of hiding, killing or infiltrating their numbers, using their organization as a weapon against the mortals and each other. But something says that Jett isn't afraid of the clans. After all, only mortals have to worry about vampires. She can do something they can't. She knows that even in the brightest sunrise, there are shadows as black as jet.

Very beautiful :D I like her character design. Now one has to wonder... is she immortal? A supernatural creature? Or is she not the original Jett and the name is passed down like a title (like the Dread Pirate Roberts)? So many speculations XD
