I have a deep green with silvery points on the leaves...a succulent not a cactus. Perhaps they are of the same family. But mine actually put out long, wavy stalks with long bell or trumpet shaped flowers with faint pink/purple striping. The flowers and stalks last almost all summer but they are very small flowers and only 3 or 4 to a stalk. I love the orange glow you caught here. The shot is a very interesting one.
