Description
Every time they show the movie "Skycaptain & the World of tomorrow" on one of the movie channels here, I get inspired by the light and the story to make a new render like this.
It's all about the light ya know...other than that it's pretty simple :) A plane, a ground plane and some other planes for walls and roof.
Then it's all up to the atmosphere and the spotlight :)
And thank yous for your comments on my last render. At some point I will take a seat and go through the galleries here. Things are upside down still at my end, so I need to come down on the same planet as the rest of you first :p

This is an excellent render. It shows great understanding of principles of composition... I believe it will look better cropping from top or bottom to accomodate the rule of thirds. However there is a loss of dimension in doing so...

Personally I think of the rule of thirds as a guide line LOL. Very nice work.

I might have cropped a bit off the top and the bottom but that's just me. I do like the lighting though. Nice POV too

Wonderful work. I always thought that movie had more potential then the end result provided. I think you captured that sense of atmosphere very well.
