Description

At the pond a few days ago, I spotted some little fungi sprouting from the side of a tree and took this picture. They were only about a third of a centimeter across, so I only got the one good shot because I had trouble focusing and holding my hand steady enough to get the tiny guys sharp enough. It was worth it. This is for markablue, a wonderful photographer I've just recently become aware of. She's very good at nature shots in general but especially talented with macros, some of which have fantastic perspective and some of which make ordinary flora look like gigantic alien plants. A real gem. Postwork: did some soft light layer stuff and darkened the corners on the left to help balance the image a little better. I'll post another heron picture tomorrow.

Wow! Thank you for such a tribute, my friend. Yup, I love fungi. :-D You and I seem to have similar tastes, huh? Nice job with these little ones. Love it!

Cute little mushrooms. Probably of Marasmius, Micromphale, or Omphalina genus (they overlap). I agree with you about Marka's great sense of little things. Greetings, Lorand
